Education
I am an audiologist with a Masters of Arts Degree in Audiology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (1994) I also have a Masters of Science Degree in Education from Indiana University (1972). My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy (1966).

I attend 40-45 hours of continuing education annually since opening Barbara's Hearing Service. North Carolina regulations require 10 hours annually. I continue to attend seminars and read literature concerning the advances and fitting techniques of working with sophisticated hearing devices available.

History of BHS
I have specialized in serving people with hearing loss for over 13 years. I have worked for most of the large companies. In April 2004, we founded Barbara's Hearing Service and have provided professional service in a friendly atmosphere to many of the finest people in the Unifour.

Staff
We are a two person office. I, Barbara Lockwood, am the audiologist. Larry Bowman, my husband, is the office manager. Larry retired from General Electric and worked in the Sears Hardware Department part time for 23 years.
